Test Technician IV - 2nd Shift (Onsite)

BAE Systems Electronics System sector in Huntsville, Alabama has built a new 83,000 square foot facility that will provide a state-of-the-art environment to support our growing portfolio of development and production programs. You will be joining a team that builds, integrates, and delivers state of the art warning system products to support our warfighters. These products contain complex electronics that must be built and delivered efficiently and correctly. Why? Because a warfighter s life may very well depend on it. There is currently an opportunity to join our Manufacturing team at our new Huntsville site. An ideal candidate can perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. They should also be able to construct, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, component, device, or system. Verifies results to ensure conformance with requirements and performs rework as needed. One should also have experience and understanding of military criteria. Job duties include: + Performs operational tests on a wide variety of moderately complex production components, subassemblies and systems using data sheets, schematics, wiring diagrams, established test specifications and standard test procedures, which clearly outline procedures to be followed. + Sets up and operates in accordance with prescribed procedures a variety of test stands consisting of multiples of standard test equipment such as pulse generators, amplifiers, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, counters, spectrum analyzers and network analyzers etc. + Works with engineering instructions and standard test procedures to operationally test developmental products as required. + Aligns and adjusts subassemblies and/or systems in accordance with test procedures and data sheets to comply with established specifications and acceptable performance. + Interprets test data and checks results against specifications, test procedures and data sheets to determine proper functioning and test quality of product. + Deviates from standard test procedures as required to troubleshoot, locate and diagnose malfunctions within the unit requiring application of technical knowledge, skill and ingenuity. Realigns and readjusts unit as required. + Designates rework instructions where necessary and retests after rework. + Approves / rejects test results. Records test data and submit test failure/acceptance reports. Realigns and readjusts unit as required. + Designates rework instructions where necessary and retests after rework. + Approves / rejects test results. Records test data and submit test failure/acceptance reports. Notifies supervisor of unusual conditions or undesirable trends. + Performs other duties and responsibilities as required. + Secret Clearance is strongly preferred or the ability to obtain **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Familiar Environmental test equipment (Thermal chambers & Vibration stands) + Able to work in an Engineering Development environment (Prototypes, Preliminary Work Instructions or Print-to-Print) + Have a strong understanding of command media. + Lean Immersion or certification. + Experience with Continuous Improvement and 5S/7S practices. **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $57100 - $91400 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
