**Job Description**
We are seeking a Test Technician/Quality Control specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring product compliance with customer and company specifications through functional and visual inspections. Utilizing various tools and testing devices, you will ensure product performance meets defined criteria, complete work assignments efficiently, and maintain organized and clean workstations.
**Shift:**
Day shift: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm (Occasional overtime and Saturdays)
Swing shift/; 2pm-10:30pm MUST be able to train on day shift (about 2 weeks) (Occasional overtime and Saturdays)
**Pay rate: (DOE)**
QC I $25 to $27
QC II $27 to $29
QC III $29 to $31
**Responsibilities**
+ Visually verify product compliance to customer and company specifications.
+ Functionally verify product performance to the defined test criteria.
+ Utilize hand and power tools, electronic and pneumatic testing fixtures and devices.
+ Complete department work assignments in a timely manner.
+ Create rework instructions or redline documentation and communicate corrective action direction to the appropriate parties when necessary.
+ Shift work assignment priorities as needed and as directed.
+ Organize tools and maintain work station cleanliness.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Good mechanical assembly aptitude.
+ Ability to document inspection findings, redline and communicate corrections effectively.
+ Proficiency in data entry and general computer navigation skills.
+ Good hand/eye coordination.
+ Ability to read and understand Bills of Materials, Drawings, sketches, and test instructions.
+ Good understanding of the English language and effective communication skills.
+ High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
+ 1-2 years of progressive assembly experience.
+ Moderate knowledge of tools and power tools.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with blueprint reading, electrical testing, quality assurance, and quality control.
+ 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
+ 2 years of experience in electrical testing with test instruments, or 5 years of technical experience without a degree.
+ Mechanical assembly experience.
+ Experience with hand and power tools.
+ Familiarity with electrical and electronic blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
+ Ability to perform assembly, wiring, and testing as needed.
+ Computer skills, including experience with Excel and technical reporting.
+ High voltage experience (240v) from testing devices/equipment, maintenance/repair, or installations.
+ Experience with ANSI, ISO 9001, and ISO standards.
+ Pneumatic testing, testing with automatic test equipment, troubleshooting, writing certificates of conformity, gathering data, and inspecting materials and components.
+ 3-5 years of successful test technician experience .
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate with engineers.
+ ERP experience.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, California.
