The Job: 

As a Test Engineer, you’ll be part of our Testing Team located in Valley City, OH. You’ll get to:  

Create and modify test fixturesCollect, analyze, and document test data  Work directly with Engineering to resolve any open issues by recommending possible solutionsEvaluate products for possible hazards not addressed by current standards and assist in developing new test proceduresMaintain testing equipment and perform general lab dutiesCarry out multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and providing updates as requestedLearn new technologies and skills in programming, electronics, and mechanicsProvide quality product repair and services, including operating, maintaining, and repairing outdoor power equipment and small enginesFollow engineering drawings to make repairs and update parts, including following torque specifications and installation instructionsAssist in the setup and completion of cost reduction projects, including wiring new test stands and troubleshooting existing test fixturesConfigure and run high-speed data acquisition systems, collect test data, and report results to the engineering staffWork with fellow technicians to develop solutions for improvements

The Person:

HS diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent (preferred)Minimum 3+ years with outdoor power equipment. Outdoor power equipment and experience in a prototype testing environment (a plus)Experience with Microsoft Office productsBasic mechanical knowledge and abilities, including knowledge of hand and power tools.Basic understanding of 12v systems, the ability to follow wiring diagrams, and good diagnostic skills for troubleshooting engines and electrical issues.
