JOB SUMMARY

The Lab Tech 3 perform phlebotomy, processing, testing and provide clerical support. Collection of other specimens as needed. Communicate effectively with patients, physicians and other personnel.

\n\n

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

\n\n\n\tConducts advanced laboratory procedures where the range of possible errors is limited.\n\tSorts, labels and records patient specimens. Set up specimen, material and equipment in preparation for Medical Technologist to perform test.\n\tOperates centrifuge, simplex timers, cell washer and other Laboratory equipment in completing assigned duties.\n\tMaintains appropriate inventory of supplies.\n\tMaintains effective communication and working relationships with all laboratory personnel, other disciplines, and external customers.\n\tParticipates in laboratory projects and educational activities.\n\n\n
