PURPOSE OF THE POSITION • The tester is responsible for carrying out tests according to the application of external tools or power tools (ABR Application based on reliability), as well as being responsible for reviewing, recording and monitoring any defects in the tool and notifying his or her supervisor or area technician. Always acting and operating safely for yourself and the company.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES • Testing of tools in the outdoor field and within laboratories. • Fixture and workstation review. • Perform set-up prior to performing the tests. • Check moving parts of the tool before handling. • Operation of the tools for defined periods according to procedure. • Monitoring and adherence to the work instructions of the test procedure. • Act and operate in a safe manner for yourself and the company. • Continuous cleaning of your “5S” work area. • Wear PPE and follow the work instructions corresponding to the type of test at all times.
Education and Experience: • High School (Required) • Ability to read, write, add, subtract and multiply (required) General Competencies: • Knowledge of blacksmithing, carpentry, masonry, gardening, handling of professional tools, basic arithmetic operations, maintenance, quality inspector. • Experience with using tools. • Experience with computer use and basic use of MS office (Excel, Word) • Good communication skills (preferred). • Ability to use standard electrical and mechanical measuring instruments. • Ability to work with verbal instructions and written procedures. • Good ability to handle practical work. • Good attitude and work ethic, teamwork. • Thermal sensation and auditory sensation skills. • Interpretation of lists of materials. • Interpretation of drawings. • Comfortable working with a wide variety of people.
