Adecco is Now Hiring for Test technician & Shelf-life - Frisco, TX Hours: 3rd shift 10pm-6:30 pm with possible OT Pay rate: $ 22/ hour depending on experince **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Science and Flavor Chemistry Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flavor chemistry, food microbiology, and nutrition science, coupled with hands-on experience in food analysis and laboratory work. **Key Responsibilities:** + Conduct food and flavor analysis using analytical chemistry equipment and microbiological techniques. + Plan and execute experiments, ensuring precise data collection and entry. + Prepare media and samples, maintain laboratory inventory, and handle biohazards safely. + Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and procedures to ensure smooth operation. + Train and mentor graduate and undergraduate students in lab techniques and microbiological procedures. + Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and achieve research objectives. + Develop and present educational seminars on nutrition and food science topics. **Skills and Qualifications:** + Master’s degree in Food Science and Flavor Chemistry or a related field. + Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science or a relevant discipline. + Certification as a ServSafe Manager (expires September 2025). + Proficiency in using analytical chemistry equipment and microbiological techniques. + Basic training in HPLC and GC-MS. + Strong organizational and time management skills. + Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure. + Excellent problem-solving skills and a team-oriented attitude. + Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a research setting. **Experience:** + Previous experience as a Graduate Laboratory Assistant, including maintaining lab inventory, coordinating resources, and training students. + Experience as a Nutrition Advisor, providing science-based health guidance, building client rapport, and presenting educational content. **Personal Attributes:** + Reliable, flexible, and science-minded with a passion for food science and flavor chemistry. + Quick learner with a proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork. **Pay Details:** $22.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
