**Job Title: Testing Technician II**
**Job Description**
As a Testing Technician II, you will be responsible for testing production sub-assemblies, modules, and systems to ensure proper operation according to established criteria and daily priorities assigned by the Test Supervisor. You will troubleshoot production units, PCBs, and sub-assemblies down to the component level to determine non-conformance causes. Additionally, you will perform repairs, inspections, and the burn-in process as required. You will use various test fixtures and equipment to ensure the functionality of electrical and mechanical components.
1st shift
6am to 2:30pm
**Responsibilities**
+ Test production sub-assemblies, modules, and systems to ensure proper operation per established test criteria.
+ Troubleshoot production units, PCBs, and sub-assemblies down to the component level to determine the cause of non-conformance.
+ Perform thorough inspections of each unit, PCB, or subassembly prior to testing.
+ Perform required repairs to return units to operational state and test to factory specifications.
+ Conduct the burn-in process where required.
+ Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems to determine root causes and relay information to the Test & QC Manager or Engineering Department.
+ Use test fixtures to test modules, circuit boards, etc.
+ Notify the Test & QC Manager of any defective test equipment, test fixtures, or tools.
+ Operate oscilloscopes, meters, power supplies, loads, test fixtures, etc., and understand their use and function.
+ Use hand tools and small power tools and understand their function.
+ Maintain a clean and safe workbench.
+ Follow all safety rules and report any unsafe conditions to the immediate supervisor.
+ Acquire parts from the stockroom as needed to repair any defective PCBs, assemblies, or units.
+ Report any unusual problems during testing to the Test & QC Manager or Test Supervisor for immediate investigation.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3-5 years of experience in testing electrical components.
+ Experience with high power electronics—480 VAC, single phase, and three phase power.
+ Knowledge of AC to AC Converter Systems.
+ Familiarity with IGBT’s, analog circuitry, and AC-DC conversion.
+ Knowledge of through-hole and SMT circuitry.
+ Experience with power supplies.
+ Understanding of power factor correction circuitry.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with schematic reading, through-hole technology, and circuit board testing.
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting with oscilloscopes, Hi-Pot testers, DMMs, clamps, transformers, diodes, transistors.
+ Experience with high volume testing for subassemblies and bench testing.
+ Calibration, electrical panels, probing, and high voltage AC/DC knowledge.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Costa Mesa, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $31.00/hr.
