Texas Public Sector Director
Position Description:

CGI is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and driven technology consulting leader to help us grow our Public Sector practice, deliver effective solutions for our government clients, and further our mission for strengthening the communities we call home. Working as a Director, Consulting Services (DCS), you will have senior responsibility to help our customers solve the difficult challenges they face in serving their constituents and lead the teams providing technology services to our state and local government clients. You will drive business and grow revenue volume from within existing and new accounts and develop a strong pipeline of prospective opportunities. The Director of Consulting Services will join our leadership team and help deliver effective technology solutions to transform service delivery and/or solve our clients’ current challenges in the Texas Public Sector.

Our ideal candidate should possess state and local government domain experience, specifically in the field of IT and related delivery capabilities. Additionally, as a key leader in our Public Sector practice, this individual is expected to thrive in collaborative environments and be highly motivated by delivering excellent services to our clients and ensuring their satisfaction.
Candidates should be local to Austin, Texas. CGI partners should plan to be in a hybrid work environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Will need to develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients while developing business with assigned clients. Also, ensures the quality of services delivered to assigned clients (including application of CPMF), participates in the delivery of client engagements and leads and manages to achieve targeted revenue and profitability.

The DCS will:
- Possess overall accountability of service delivery to our clients
- Develop a strong pipeline of opportunities within new and existing accounts within the portfolio
- Lead proposals and evolve solution offerings
- Lead a team of professionals – both direct reports and via global delivery
- Ensure success of engagements using global delivery and vendor partners
- Manage client satisfaction in partnership with account management teams
- Apply delivery and customer management best practices
- Apply management best practices such as succession planning, member performance reviews, and finance management
- Contribute to business strategy and budget planning
- Manage profitability of engagements

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

The candidate should possess experience and expertise in the following areas:
- Possess overall accountability of service delivery to our clients
- 10+ years of minimum IT and Consulting Services experience
- Results oriented business leader with solid understanding of budgets, forecasting, planning, P&L’s, and complex pricing models
- Business development including strategic sales planning
- Strategy and business management
- Delivery experience
- Client engagement management and relationship building
- People management
- A keen, flexible and aggressive intellect; superior conceptual thinking as well as analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels
- Proven record of creating and maintaining business partnerships and relationships
- Strong decision making, judgment and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional virtual teams

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $134,500 - $235,400.
