Job Summary
Under moderate supervision, perform a variety of technical duties associated with the retrieval, processing, validation, editing of TFS IPS commissioning and maintenance data, interact with appropriate field and office personnel to review, investigate and resolve improperly entered/incomplete data that poses a compliance risk. Provide support with other compliance related activities: develop reports to assist with gathering data for metrics, perform investigation/mitigation activities associated with PRC-005.Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Data Analysts should have strong verbal and written communication skills to perform the following activities. Personnel should perform validation checks to ensure accurate measurement and reports are provided.Develop working understanding of various NERC reliability standardsReview compliance related data as assigned (including IPS maintenance/commissioning actions)Work independently or as part of the Data Quality team to ensure compliance data is audit readyPublish weekly PRC-005 reports and follow-up as needed to prevent an out of interval maintenance self-reportPublish Unresolved Maintenance Issue (UMI) report, track progress and develop metricsParticipate and present compliance topics at TFS P&C Supervisor meetingsProvide communication of data and compliance trends to TFS managementDetermine interval matrix for self-certification activitiesRecommend IPS data changes to TFS Policy & Procedures to improve data integrityMaintain and develop TFS AR&C ShareNow Compliance siteWork with TFS Fault Analysis personnel on data validation and analysisDevelop technical expertise to asisst with troubleshooting of DME issuesLead compliance incident investigationsReview Data Quality review procedures against applicable NERC standardsPerform audit of another data quality team geographic areaBecome familiar with TFS supervision and management across all five Transmission regionsDevelop and provide compliance training to Transmission personnel as neededFacilitate Data Quality team meetingsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
TFS DATA ANALYST ASSC(GRADE 5)
Education:
Associate's Degree in mathematics, statistics, operations research, engineering, or a related technical or business discipline with two (2) years of experience,
or High School Diploma / GED with four (4) years of experience in an analytical or technical field.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Information Technology or in one of the above-listed subjects preferred and does not require previous experience
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
TFS DATA ANALYST(GRADE 6)
Education:
Associate's Degree in mathematics, statistics, operations research, engineering, or a related technical or business discipline with four (4) years of experience, or
High School Diploma / GED with six (6) years of experience in an analytical or technical field
Bachelor's Degree in Business Information Technology or in one of the above-listed subjects preferred and requires two (2) years of experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Experience on PC-based Windows software such as Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word. ShareNow , IPS asset management system preferred.Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail required to ensure accurate and complete compliance data.Strong verbal and written communication skills essential for working relationships with downstream and upstream service stakeholders.Occasional overtime and/or early schedules may be required periodically.Strong verbal, and written communication skills.Travel and overtime required as needed.Compensation Data
