The Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Team Lead will be directly responsible for leading a team of 4 Field Engineers whose focus is ensuring that the TPY-2 radar system is fully functional 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The CLS THAAD Team Lead will coordinate with the US Army Unit Command & Maintenance teams as well as system engineering leads to accomplish all tasks required and obtain required resources. Work performed REQUIRES an individual with an ADVANCED technical TPY-2 knowledge and proficiency. 

This includes all states and modes of preventative & corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the radar. The Lead will develop and coordinate the radar system planned maintenance program, coordinate & submit PMCS waivers, deferred maintenance requests, and documents, and will post all maintenance related field bulletins.

This position will remain in an unaccompanied deployable status. Selected candidate must be able to travel for work assignments to include deployment to work locations at various sites both worldwide.

This position will be located at Fort Bliss, Texas and may require deployment to an offsite or foreign location with an immediate response time, at any given time.

What You Will Do:

Supervise, train and lead a team of 4 Field Engineers through day-to-day operations and THAAD maintenance.Coach, train, develop and mentor the skill set of the CLS THAAD Maintenance team.Provide performance feedback of their assigned team, to include accountability of team and individual goals. To account for and provide management and the team with an assessment of key developmental needs.Manage the PTO hours for the team.Ensure Site Operating Procedures (SOP's) are adhered to.Attend and provide input to radar site related meetings and tag-ups.Devise and implement and perform preventive maintenance program and keep performance and maintenance records on equipment.Install, check out, operate, maintain, repair & modify the TPY-2 equipment. Analyze equipment failures to determine cause and recommend corrective action.Advise & assist in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reduce cost of operation.Supervise system performance using maintenance of system diagnostics software.Monitors diagnostics to evaluate the functionality of the radar and its components.Conducts fault isolation and localization of radar malfunctions.Restores system to mission capability by performing corrective action procedures.Maintains accurate Activity Log Reports and Inspection Test Record (ITRs)Reviews all radar operation and maintenance activities and provides recommendations to Raytheon Program Manager for improvements.Operates and supervises the ALCS program to ensure all data is entered properly.Performs independent assessments, audits, and special inspections of site activities associated with the radar system as directed by the Raytheon Program Manager.Ensures the maintenance of system configuration management through proper entries in ALCS.Monitors radar diagnostics for any radar system anomalies (e.g., Receiver/Exciter (REX), Beam Steering Generator (BSG) BSG, Antenna/Sub-Array/ TRIMMs)

What You Will Learn:

Candidate will learn the core companies of leading a small team of Field Engineers and maintaining the AN/TPY-2 Radar System.Candidate will learn how to contribute value to the United States Army THAAD mission as a THAAD Team Lead.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Completion of the AN/TPY-2 Core Conduct course and on the job training OR have US Army THAAD experience OR successfully completed training via the Raytheon Skill Bridge Program.Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required.At least five years’ experience in the troubleshooting and operational checkout of TPY-2 systems.B.S. in Engineering, Science or Mathematics, and/or equivalent field experience commensurate to experience described above.Experience in the planning, production, and management of complex systems.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.Demonstrated ability to lead by influence and collaboration.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
