Please note this a Saturday only position. 

Assist on Saturday, The Operations Manager, in partnership with the Operations Director to ensure the smooth operations of The Store, the distribution of food to customers, maintaining The Store's cleanliness, restock and proper storage of food, in a manner consistent with The Store’s values of dignity and choice. 

Vendor Deliveries: Meets vendors delivering food and supplies and assist in loading supplies into appropriate storage location (refrigerator, shelves, etc.).  as needed.

Volunteer Training: Work with volunteer coordinator to ensure volunteers are oriented to their job and know how to complete assigned tasks.  

Volunteer Assistance: Help oversee volunteers in all aspects of The Store operations during restocking, inventory, and shopping hours, providing assistance and direction when needed.  May serve as point of contact for the volunteer shift leader and other volunteers.

Customer Service:  Assist customers as needed during shopping to ensure a positive shopping experience.  

Restocking: Work with volunteers throughout shopping hours to ensure shelves are restocked as needed.

Inventory: May need to take inventory of food and non-food items as necessary to inform future ordering/restocking.  

Other duties as assigned.

Working conditions: 

- Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs.
- Stand for long periods
- Highly physical position
