Courses are in-person and on-campus for the Spring 2025 semester (01/06/2025 - 04/27/2025)

Course: Theatre Participation I

In this course students select and participate in one of the following areas of theatre production and management including: technical theatre, front of house, performance, and stage/production management. Students are required to choose at least three different disciplines within their four years of study. The course requires 40 lab hours that can be used toward fulfilling scholarship requirements.

What you will do:

Facilitate and supervise hands-on student work in labs ( set construction, lighting, costume construction, properties construction, and front of house management)Engage students in theatre technologies and industry standard applicationsAssess student performance and mentor lab success to prepare them for their chosen career pathProvide positive examples to students by demonstrating proper techniques and methodologies while supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University

What you will bring:

3-5 years of professional experience in technical theatre production in one or more of the forementioned areas and a MFA or BFA or combination of experience approved by the Dean
