Job Summary:
Reports to the Director or Recovery for coordination and supervision of the Gándara Outpatient Recovery Coach Program. This position acts as the liaison with referral providers to coordinate recovery coach referral matching and supervision of Recovery Coaches. This position will provide services that support entry into the recovery community and provide recovery Coaches with the tools and skills that will aid them in supporting their recoveree’s goals of maintaining recovery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Works under the supervision of an In-Home Therapist to support the implementation of a treatment plan to assist the youth and the family in achieving the goals of the plan. Teaches the youth to understand, direct, interpret, manage, and control feelings and emotional responses to situations and to assist the family to address the youth's emotional and mental health needs. Provides phone contact as part of the intervention. Reviews/ and develops of a risk management/safety plan in collaboration with the youth and caregiver. Works with the In-Home Therapist to provide family therapy. Identifies community resources and develops natural support for youth and parent/caregiver(s) to support and sustain the achievement of the youth’s treatment plan goals and objectives. Provides or secures support and crisis/emergency services for the youth/ and family. Demonstrates ability to be innovative, creative, analytical, and decisive in problem-solving. Demonstrates communications and organizational capabilities. Awareness and sensitivity to contextual variables such as race, culture, gender, sexuality, disability, economics and lived experience. Collaborates with other necessary individuals the youth and family may have contact with, such as Bureau Case Managers, Probation Officers, Judges, District Attorneys, Attorneys, Teachers, Physicians, etc.Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Experience Required: 1 year. Degree Required: Must possess an MCE-approved Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field. Associates, Bachelors or better in Human Services or related field,
