**Description:**
Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm (no holidays or required weekends)
The therapist/counselor assumes the role of a generalist therapist and performs individual and family assessments as well as other therapy services on both an inpatient and outpatient basis (including in the Intensive Outpatient Program and medical units). The therapist/counselor conducts individual, family and group counseling and regularly assists providers and treatment teams with clinical recommendations based on knowledge of age-specific growth and development and psychiatric diagnoses. The therapist/counselor provides consultation and educational programming to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center staff as requested and serves as a resource to patients throughout the continuum of care, helping to make referrals to community agencies and working through individual and/or family social-emotional problems.
