As a Therapist, you'll provide a range of therapeutic services within your associated geographical region, field, and scope of practice, such as counseling, psychotherapy, and behavior modification techniques. Your primary responsibility is to assess, diagnose, and treat clients/patients based on their individual needs. This involves conducting thorough assessments to understand their presenting concerns, gathering relevant background information, rendering a diagnosis, and formulating a treatment plan. You'll utilize evidence-based interventions and techniques to help clients develop coping strategies, improve their relationships, and enhance their overall well-being. Key Responsibilities:

Comprehensive Counseling: Deliver individual, group, family, and other practical counseling across diverse settings to address the unique needs and treatment goals of each client/patient.

Thorough Assessments: Conduct and complete intake screenings and comprehensive assessments within designated time frames as required by state regulatory, accreditation, and agency standards.

Accurate Diagnoses: Determine and document precise diagnoses based on comprehensive assessments, ensuring clarity and accuracy.

Tailored Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients/patients, aligning with state regulatory, accreditation, and agency standards, and adapting them based on assessment findings.

Collaborative Staffing: Actively participate in clinical staffing and treatment meetings, providing valuable feedback on all relevant cases.

Service Goals: Consistently meet department-specific Collaborative Service Goal (CSG) requirements, demonstrating commitment to high standards.

Interdepartmental Coordination: Work closely with internal departments to ensure authorized services are approved and required information is provided within specified time frames.

Meticulous Documentation: Document all services provided in compliance with state regulatory, accreditation, and agency standards, ensuring timely and accurate entries that align with treatment plans.

File Accuracy: Correct any file or charting deficiencies promptly, maintaining meticulous and up-to-date records.

Smooth Transitions: Assist clients/patients through the transition process, completing final correspondence such as transition summaries, plans, and letters.

Ongoing Training: Complete all mandatory training sessions, meeting state regulatory, accreditation, and agency standards.

Professional Representation: Represent the agency professionally within the community, upholding the agency’s reputation and values.

Ethical Relationships: Maintain positive, professional relationships with referral sources, clients/patients, and coworkers, adhering to the Code of Ethics and agency policies/procedures.

Crisis Management: Handle crisis situations effectively as they arise, coordinating emergency services to provide rapid aid when needed.

Supervision and Mentoring: Provide professional and clinical supervision to individuals in training, once all professional requirements have been met.

Group Facilitation: Facilitate group counseling, group education, family therapy, and individual sessions, including specialty services such as trauma and co-occurring therapy.

Clinical Guidance: Offer training and guidance on clinical issues and evidence-based practices to ensure high-quality care.

Consultative Support: Provide clinical consultation to treatment team members as necessary, enhancing collaborative efforts.

Company Commitment: Demonstrate genuine interest in and commitment to the company’s long-term and short-term goals and objectives.

Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned by leadership, showcasing flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting the team.
 

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

Must possess at least a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.

Hold licensure with the applicable board of professional registration for the state in which they are practicing as a professional counselor or social worker.

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Must be willing to become licensed in additional states other than the state currently licensed in.

Must be willing and comfortable with providing telehealth services to the individuals we serve (training will be provided).
 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must have training and demonstrate expertise regarding diagnostic criteria of individuals with substance use disorders and/or mental health issues.

Thorough knowledge of caseload management and rehabilitation methods, principles, and techniques as they relate to mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment services.

Detailed knowledge of the problems encountered by persons with mental health and/or substance use disorders.

Considerable knowledge of the methods and modalities as well as the legal requirements and court procedures related to treating mental health and/or substance use disorders.

Knowledge of supervisory and training techniques and practices used in a mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment setting.

Aptitude to develop, coordinate, and evaluate services within assigned programs.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Capable of communicating ideas clearly and effectively verbally and in writing to produce clear and concise reports.

Able to establish effective relationships via telephone or telehealth and personal contacts.

Able to follow direction and accept supervision.
