Description

The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a fulll-time Therapist to join the Antelope Valley-UCLA Public Partnership (AV-UPP) Program. You will work with children (ages 0-21), parents, and families regarding placement, adoption, and attachment. Primary duties include:

Providing training and mentoring on mental health issues of this population to professionals and parents in the community Consultation to interdisciplinary team members Providing age appropriate assessments and interventions Leading parent support groups and providing supportive therapeutic environments with special attention to issues of placement and adoption with prenatally substance exposed children Providing temperament counseling for parents Conducting developmental evaluations of children Holding caseload of individual therapy and collateral therapy Planning and delivering trainings sessions for clients, social workers, attorneys, judges, educators, and other mental health care professionals Other duties as assigned

Salary range: 

$64,800/yr – $137,600/yr
