JOB SUMMARY

\n

The Occupational Therapist PRN plans, organizes, and provides professional services in restorative, functional and preventative therapeutic programs to patients. Clinical practice includes evaluation and occupational therapy treatment planning to facilitate rehabilitation of the mental, physical or emotional disabled person. Works closely with patients and family to establish and meet treatment goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

\n\nEvaluates, treats and monitors patient. Modifies therapy program and goals.\nPerforms thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enters charges accurately.\nCommunicates effectively with patients and families, departmental coworkers, and members of the medical care team. Provides education to patients, family and staff.\nSupervises ancillary staff, students and volunteers.\nAdvances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence-based practice.\nImparts knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues. Adheres to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.\nMaintains awareness of system goals. Aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals.\n\n

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

\n\nMust possess excellent social relation skills to include excellent oral and written communication skills.\nMust demonstrate aptitude in assigned areas as specified for each clinician.\nExhibits proven face-to-face synergy and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team and assures delivery of excellent customer service to all patients, visitors, physicians and coworkers.\nPossesses proficient computer knowledge; operates multiple computer systems and standard Rehabilitation equipment.\nHigh attention to detail in fast paced and dynamic environment.\nAbility to multitask effectively while maintaining a high level of productivity.\n\n

QUALIFICATIONS

- EDUCATION - Masters' or Bachelors plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification

- EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience

- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -
       Occupational Therapist (OT)

       Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
