Are you passionate about sustainability and eager to make a real impact in the transportation industry? Working on your thesis with Scania can be a launchpad for your career, with many of our current employees having started their journeys with a thesis project like this one. It is more than just research – it is your opportunity to contribute to drive the shift towards a sustainable transport system.
Background:
The global transportation industry is in the midst of a sustainability acceleration, and Scania is at the forefront of this change. As we drive the shift towards a sustainable transport system, we need visionary thinkers who are bold and brave to challenge the status quo. If you are ready to take on this challenge, we invite you to join us in shaping a greener, more sustainable future for transportation.
Objective:
Your mission will be to investigate and create a detailed hotspot map of sustainable transport solutions for heavy vehicles that are currently available and under development across the globe. This research will encompass various transport modes, sustainable fuels, and innovative transformation strategies, with a focus on Europe, Latin America, and Asia. The insights you generate will help Scania lead the way in decarbonizing logistics and shaping a more sustainable transportation network.
Job description:
Over the course of your thesis, you will explore cutting-edge sustainable solutions in the transport sector, analyse trends and emerging technologies in transport decarbonization, and work closely with sustainability and logistics experts, gaining hands-on experience. To enrich your research and ensure its relevance, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate with sales sustainability managers across various countries.
As part of the thesis work, you will not only create a comprehensive hotspot map but also design a process to keep this map up-to-date with the latest sustainable transport developments. This means your work will have a lasting impact, shaping how Scania stays informed about global trends in sustainability.
We are looking for two curious, self-driven, and analytical individuals who are passionate about sustainability and eager to make a positive impact. You will thrive in this role if you:
- Have a deep interest in sustainability and the future of transportation;
- Are excited by the challenge of tackling complex, real-world problems;
- Are proactive and capable of working independently while staying connected with a broader team of experts.
