Position Overview: As a Medical Record Specialist, you'll play a key role in managing essential billing documentation, ensuring everything meets industry regulations like HCFA, MCC, and JCAHO. Your main tasks will involve processing back-end documentation, tracking timelines, and resolving billing issues.
What You’ll Do and need:
Great customer service (will be primary representative of our agency to patients, staff, referral sources, etc. But also, good service when dealing with internal staff)Comfortable on the phone. Will be primary back up to our receptionist for inbound calls and will need to make outbound calls regarding outstanding paperwork.A good attitude and willingness to jump in and help where needed.Ability to learn new computer systems (no need to come in with HCHB/Worldview/EPIC experience, but computer literacy is necessary). Detail orientated, able to handle conflicting priorities (though there will be plenty of available support in learning to navigate that)What You’ll Need:
A commitment to supporting Trinity Health’s mission, vision, and values.A high school diploma or GED (business courses or an associate degree preferred).1-2 years of experience in medical billing or a related office setting.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.Why You’ll Love Working Here:
