The Role

The role of the Third-Party Loss Mitigation and Recovery manager entails ensuring that the teams handling work for our third-party clients meet their operational and administrative goals on a daily basis within the set timeline.  This position requires exemplary leadership skills that foster a culture of effective teamwork and building and maintaining working relationships with both the internal and external business partners.  Additionally, the Third-Party Loss Mitigation and Recovery Manager should possess an understanding and commitment to AvalonBay’s values, goals and mission, which they should communicate effectively.  


This position will be hybrid out of the Va Beach, VA CCC Office.

Essential Functions:
1.  Communicate and ensure the daily implementation and achievement of all established performance standards and metrics for assigned team members and third-party clients.
2.  Coordinate, supervise and direct the daily operations and on time completion of all deliverables assigned to the team.
3.  Supervise assigned associates through recruiting, scheduling of work assignments, training and performance appraisals as well as making recommendations regarding personnel actions. 
4.  Provide daily coaching, development, feedback and remedial training for all team members and conduct quality reviews to ensure that all established performance metrics are achieved.
5.  Manage contractual obligations and make recommendations for process changes as necessary.
6.  Ensure that a career development plan is established and implemented for all team members.
7.  Recognize and reward Associate accomplishments and contributions.
8.  Maintain a work environment that facilitates high job satisfaction and retention for all team members.
9.  Introduce and champion new initiatives and processes that continually improve line group performance.
10.  Handle escalated problems and calls that are beyond the capability or capacity of subordinate team members.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skills ability and training required.


Education:
High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required, college degree in business administration preferred.


Experience:
Minimum of two years supervisory experience in a contact call center or shared services center or fast paced office operations environment.

Skills:
1.  Shared services processing team experience and ability to deliver exceptional customer service as demonstrated by prior work experience.
2.  Ability to read, write and speak English as demonstrated by clear and concise written and verbal communications.
3.  Demonstrated ability to create and deliver group presentations on function-related subject matter and to write reports in a clear, concise form.
4.  Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
5.  Time management and organizational skills as demonstrated by prior work experience.
6.  Ability to coach and train subordinates, either in person or via a remote work environment as demonstrated by prior work experience.
7.  Analytical skills as demonstrated by prior work experience.
8.  Teamwork skills as demonstrated by prior work experience.
9.  Ability to perform Microsoft Office applications such as word processing, presentations and spreadsheets at a level consistent with the essential functions of this job.

Minimum Internet speed of 25MBPS (Uploads and Downloads) requirements and must be hardwired.  Must have this network requirements to work remotely. Wifi is not acceptable or allowed.
