Thought Leader Liaison, US Neurology, Philadelphia

INTRODUCTION TO ROLE

Are you ready to make a significant impact in the field of neurology? As a Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) within our US commercial organization, you will engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs), develop promotional speaker training, and support strategic insight generation. Reporting to the Director TLL, this senior field-based role is an extension of our marketing team, focusing on building and maintaining relationships that drive our commercial strategy forward.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Thought Leader Development:

Develop and maintain KOL Engagement Plans for thought leadersPlan and execute National and Regional Congress Engagement Plans with a focus on significant engagements with senior leadership and in support of marketing initiativesSupport commercial KOL influence mapping initiatives by developing profilesMonitor KOL insights about current and future treatment patterns that may impact the commercial strategy and provide feedback for considerationAct as liaison between KOLs and Alexion for on-label activities, including office-based cross-functional colleagues and teams (Marketing, Medical, Diagnostics, and Executive leadership)Assist in the facilitation and execution of commercial advisory boards through identification of key advisors equipped to provide compelling insightsAlign with field partners such as Medical Science Liaisons on complementary initiatives with shared customers

PROMOTIONAL PHYSICIAN SPEAKER BUREAU MANAGEMENT & ENGAGEMENT:

Work with Marketing and Sales Management to identify and recruit KOLs for national and regional faculty and speaker bureausTrain, evaluate, and coach physician speakers to provide high-quality branded and unbranded educationEnsure appropriate and compliant execution of speaker programsMonitor speaker performance at live programsWork with marketing and contracted speakers to gain and synthesize feedback in support of the evolution of promotional programming content, case studies for potential publications, and other commercial projectsProvide field-based training on speaker programs when needed

COMPLIANT COLLABORATION WITH REGIONAL FIELD TEAM:

Provide input and support in developing account plansProvide field-based training when neededAddress customer service issues/identified needs and coordinate cross-functional action plans to address on-label issues as needed

BRAND STRATEGY:

Work with cross-functional teams to provide key customer insights and input on strategy, tactics, messaging, and program execution

COMPLIANCE & INTEGRITY:

Work with the highest degree of professionalism and in accordance with the company’s code of Ethics and Business Conduct

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

7+ years experience in academia, medical or bio/pharmaExperience in a combination of one or more of the following areas: product marketing, field sales, clinical, nurse practitioner or thought leader engagementSolid understanding of Thought Leader engagement practicesClinical, technical, and scientific knowledge and aptitude in complex disease statesEffective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilitiesProven track record to manage large geographical territory!The duties of this role are generally conducted in a field environment. Ability to travel >50% of the time including significant overnight and weekend travelA valid driver's license and clean driving recordMust reside in the region (PA, NJ, NY)

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Graduate degree (MSc, MSN, MBA)Prior experience and/or relationships within the Neurology areaPrior experience in bio/pharma in Marketing or thought leader engagement strongly preferredSelf-driven with strong organizing and planning skillsHighly collaborative with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyDemonstrated ability to execute against strategic and tactical plans under short timelines

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $151,692.00 to $227,538.00 USD . Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
