ABOUT THE JOB:
The Thrift Store Manager drives the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida (BGCCF) mission through strategic leadership, operational excellence, and effective resource management. This role demands a blend of competencies that foster both internal team growth and external community engagement. The manager directs all facets of store operations, from inventory procurement and innovative merchandising to the supervision of staff and volunteer activities. Leading a team of 10-15, including an Assistant Store Manager, Shift Supervisors, employees, and volunteers, the Manager oversees recruitment, training, and performance evaluations. Aligning sales strategies with fiscal objectives and cultivating an uplifting team atmosphere that prioritizes safety, engagement, and the full expression of employee potential are key responsibilities of this role. Administrative responsibilities encompass vendor liaison, equipment upkeep, inventory management, and the execution of operational strategies that advance BGCCF's fundraising goals and community impact.

Strengthens community and vendor relationships through effective partnership development, working closely with individual and corporate donors and other retail partners to ensure a steady flow of inventory donations.Collaborates with the VP of Marketing & Community Relations to maintain brand integrity across all collateral materials, social media content, and signage, while also driving community awareness and engagement through innovative marketing and merchandising strategies.Warehouse Management
Organizes warehouse inventory in alignment with organizational procedures, prioritizing efficiency, and security, and liaises with the Director of Facilities to ensure the maintenance of the store and property, demonstrating situational adaptability to respond to and address shifting priorities.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
The position requires working in both indoor and outdoor environments of a retail store setting, which may involve exposure to varying weather conditions.Required to operate a motor vehicle.Work in environments frequented by the public, requiring adherence to safety and conduct standards that ensure a child-friendly and family-oriented atmosphere.Must be adaptable to a dynamic work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge, Education, Experience & Skills
High school diploma or GED required. An associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred.A total of five years of related experience within a retail establishment, such as a thrift store, with three years of supervisory experience.Demonstrated merchandising and marketing experience.Strong knowledge of back-office management processes, including donation procurement, inventory management, and processing procedures.Demonstrated experience with cash handling procedures and working with budgets.Strong business acumen, with the ability to read and analyze financial reports and sales reports and respond with workforce optimization strategies. Strong technology and organizational skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Homebase, and Clover.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to lead, manage conflict, and hold others accountable.Proven ability to drive exceptional customer service and train and motivate staff towards achieving customer service standards.Must possess a strong ethical foundation and the ability to recognize and navigate conflicts of interest.Valid driver's license and good driving record.Ability to work holidays, evenings, and weekends.
