The salary range for this position is $36.00 - $59.65 (Hourly Rate)
Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

*Case Management & Utilization Review Experience
The Throughput Expeditorreflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Throughput Expeditor is responsible for driving patient throughput through the development of the daily Real-Time Demand Capacity (RTDC) plan and leading execution of that plan in order to open up the bed capacity needed for optimal patient flow by 2 PM each weekday.
Responsibilities:
Leads daily RTDC meetings -Pre-meeting preparation (e.g. lookback to previous weekday’s performance, enter open beds and any unit demand adjustments in Epic)Leads unit-level planning during the meeting, striving to generate enough bed capacity between 8 AM and 2 PM to keep up with anticipated bed demand during those hoursCommunicates daily RTDC plan to operational leadershipFollows up with Charge RN/Clinical Coordinator if not present at RTDC meetingCollaborates with the clinical teams/RNs/Case Managers/Social Workers//ancillary support teams on the patients expected to leave by 2 pm -Escalating any barriers to the leaders in the department causing the delayEscalating any tests/readings needed for observation patients or discharge that dayReaching out to consultants to clear patients for dischargeReaching out to support departments for coordination of teaching (diabetic teaching, wound care, heart failure etc.)Arranges for Rides for those needing them (e.g. Kaizen, cab, working with Superior representative) and/or help to move discharged patients to appropriate waiting areaUses effective service recovery skills to solve problems or service breakdowns when they occurUtilizes department and hospital policies and procedures to complete assigned tasksParticipates in performance improvement projects related to RTDC/early discharge performanceIs proactive in preventing issues with patient visit by double checking type of test, preps required, assuring no conflict with other tests, verifying time and location, communicating relevant informationEvaluates procedures and suggests improvements to enhance customer service and operational efficiency.Qualifications
Required:
3-5 years of experience working in acute care settingRegistered Nurse or Licensed Clinical Social Worker with hospital experienceEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to plan, organize, and direct the activities of othersHigh level of energy and enthusiasmFlexible/adaptable – ability to work with diverse group of healthcare professionalsEffective problem solving and multi-tasking skillsPreferred:
