Jr. Davis Construction Company Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to fill the position of a Ticket Taker.  We are one of the largest heavy highway and civil construction firms in the state with over 900 employees, while still retaining a family business atmosphere.

COMPENSATION: Based on experience. Our OJT (On the Job Training) program will allow you to move up in our company as your skill set expands.

Responsibilities:

Keep track of materials imported/exported by dump trucks to job sitesGenerate tickets for import/export materials being transportedReport daily amount of materials transported. Signal driver in aligning and spacing loads according to specifications when necessary. Follow all policies and procedures and meet all performance goalsOther duties may be assigned at times

Requirements:

1-year’ experience working as a Ticket Taker preferredValid driver licenseAt times you will be driving a company vehicle/ your MVR must be clearStrict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is requiredDisplay a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all timesMust be computer literateFluent Bilingual in English/Spanish – requiredAble to write routine reports and correspondence.Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.  

Work Environment:

Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials up to 75 pounds.
