We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tier III Helpdesk Engineer to join our team to resolve complex and time-sensitive customer impacting issues supporting large-scale government programs. As a Tier III Helpdesk Engineer, you will work closely with cross functional teams in a time sensitive environment to resolve issues and return customers to service. This is a hybrid position and includes on-site work in King George, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Provide remote support for compute, network, and storage systems, including ongoing maintenance
- Lead troubleshooting of trouble tickets escalated from Tier 2 Support, diagnosing hardware and software issues
- Participate in system design meetings, collaborating with team members, end users, and external groups to understand contractually provided solutions
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and customers to resolve outages and other troubles escalated from Tier 2
- Engage regularly with Program Manager, Chief Engineer, and other stakeholders and provide reports on outages, troubles, and resolutions
As a Tier III Helpdesk Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the availability of infrastructures and applications. Your ability to resolve complex outages and troubles escalated from Tier 2 will ensure the success of large-scale government programs. You will work in a collaborative and dynamic environment, interacting with various stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field or applicable work experience
- Secret security clearance
- Six years of experience as a Tier III Helpdesk Engineer, preferably in the government sector
- Professional experience and a high-level understanding of working with various operating systems and their implications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform in high demand time sensitive environment
