This position exists to set the direction, specify objectives and coordinate the administration of the overall management of the Total Infrastructure and Facilities Management system (TIFM). This will enhance service delivery and create cost savings through proactive implementation and ongoing enhancement of this Enterprise software system This position will provide facility management and technical assistance to Physical Plant staff, facility Administrators, Central Office personnel and personnel in all outstate homes and cemeteries with emphasis on establishing and maintaining data on assets, improving the function of the Physical Plant operation in all of Veterans Affairs facilities. This person will provide direction to outsourced vendors, when a part of a plan, to integrate their services into the overall plan. This individual will direct personnel other than those whom they organizationally supervise to accomplish their mission. This position requires knowledge and experience in all aspects of Physical Plant operations, managing an Enterprise level software program, as well as compliance requirements for Building Construction, Building Codes and other regulatory agencies.
**Minimum Qualifications**

Three years of experience that includes at least one of the following areas:
+ Construction management
+ Facilities operations and maintenance planning
+ Electronic work order system
***NOTE:** Completion of a bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management-Construction, Graphic/Interior Design, Architecture or a closely related degree program may substitute for one year of the above experience OR Completion of an associate’s degree in computer Aided Drafting (CAD) or a closely related degree program may substitute for six months of the above experience.
**And**
+ Ability to analyze computer hardware or software malfunctions and implement solutions
+ Knowledge of preventative building systems and structural maintenance
+ Communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead meetings and present information to users with diverse needs and expectations
+ Ability to design preventive maintenance program and procedure
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience working with Auto CAD (Computer Aided Drafting).
+ Knowledge of ARCHIBUS
+ Knowledge in Construction/project management.
+ Knowledge of Total Infrastructure Facilities Management (TIFM) software systems and or related technology.
**Additional Requirements**
This position requires successful completion of the following:
+ A Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check may be conducted on the top finalist(s) for the position(s). When conducted, a finalist must pass the DHS background check.
