**Job Title: TIG Welder ($25-35/hour based on experience)** **1st Shift Monday-Thursday 6AM-4:30PM; Optional OT on Fridays** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled and experienced TIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and fabricating fixtures and tooling to support aircraft and related weldments, ensuring high-quality welds and maintaining communication throughout the process. **Responsibilities** + Develop and fabricate fixtures and tooling to support aircraft and related weldments. + Ensure communication of all work handoffs. + Examine welds for quality, bead size, and other specifications. + Lay out and fit all parts to maintain all dimensional parameters. + Lay welds in horizontal, vertical, flat, or overhead positions. + Perform TIG butt and fillet welding types. + Position or clamp workpieces together. + Prepare parts for post-weld inspection processes. + Provide manufacturing feedback to all required working colleagues. + Weld together metal components as per the blueprints or diagrams. + Maintain a positive relationship with the quality department for improvements or feedback. **Essential Skills** + TIG welding experience. + Ability to perform TIG welding horizontally, vertically, flat, and overhead. + Experience with welding codes and blueprints. + Practical aircraft welding experience. + Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods (PT/MT/RT/VT). + X-ray inspection experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + A High School Diploma or GED (minimum). + An Associate’s Degree or technical certification in Welding Technology or a related field (preferred, not required). + Certifications from the American Welding Society, preferably as an AWS Certified Aerospace Welder. + Certification to D1.1, AWS D17.1_D17.1M or equivalent fusion welding for aerospace applications specifications. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Kansas City, Kansas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00 Competitive compensation with comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, prescription, paid vacation & holidays, wellness time, 401(k), education reimbursement, and much more. **Workplace Type** This is a fully onsite position in Kansas City,KS. **Application Deadline** This position will be accepting applications until Feb 1, 2025. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
