**Job Title: TIG Welder**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder with over 5 years of welding experience, although we will consider schooling as equivalent experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and maintaining welding equipment, performing mostly TIG and some MIG welding, and working with tight tolerances to ensure high-quality aesthetic finishes. This role requires proficiency in using fixtures, clamps, and angle plates to produce correct shapes and dimensions, as well as the ability to read blueprint designs for precision sheet metal drawings.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and maintain welding equipment.
+ Perform primarily TIG and sometimes MIG welding in accordance with supplied instructions.
+ Use fixtures or table setups as necessary to produce correct shapes and dimensions.
+ Work to tight tolerances with a focus on aesthetics.
+ Perform welding in the best sequence to minimize warpage and distortion.
+ Repair or rework parts to restore required tolerances after warpage or distortion.
+ Assist in other areas of the shop including grinding, straightening, and metal finishing.
+ Use tape measures, calipers, and other measuring gauges to check physical dimensions, tolerances, and visual conditions of parts.
+ Read blueprint designs for precision sheet metal drawings.
**Essential Skills**
+ 5+ years of welding experience (or equivalent schooling).
+ Proficiency in TIG welding with an aesthetic focus.
+ Experience in sheet metal welding and fabrication (Aluminum/Stainless Steel).
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Proficient in using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring equipment.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ CWI certification is highly desirable (will have access to higher pay)
+ Willingness to undergo CWI training and further certification in D17.1 (Aerospace).
+ Experience with welding in all positions is a plus.
+ AWS certifications D1.1 and D17.1 are nice to have.

**Work Environment**
The facility, established in 1984, spans 32,000 square feet and features climate-controlled conditions with advanced equipment such as CNC press brakes, laser cutting, weld cells, and a powder-coating system. The shop maintains a clean and safe environment with provided safety glasses and hearing protection.
**Job Location**
This position is based out of Southern York County Pennsylvania.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
