**Job Title: TIG Welder**
**Job Description**
Seeking a TIG Welder for a company supplying precision CNC machined and fabricated metallic components, as well as complex small to medium-sized sub-assemblies, to the aerospace and defense industries. The welder performs a variety of approved welding techniques to required tolerances per engineering specifications, reads, interprets, and understands product and process drawings, procedures, weld symbols, and quality requirements, and applies this knowledge to the work performed. The role also involves using employee self-service systems to access online information and specialized automated systems.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform a variety of approved welding techniques to required tolerances per engineering specifications.
+ Read, interpret, and understand product and process drawings, procedures, weld symbols, and quality requirements.
+ Weld components from mechanical drawings, blueprints, and written specifications.
+ Use employee self-service systems to access online information and specialized automated systems.
**Essential Skills**
+ Six (6) years of verifiable welding experience, including TIG welding for thin aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel, and titanium.
+ Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ CWI certification from American Welding Society (AWS) - plus - will certify in house but will receive lower pay initially if not certified.
+ Preferred: Ten (10) years of verifiable welding experience, including TIG welding for thin aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel, and titanium.
+ Preferred: Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) experience with aerospace or precision fabrications (sheet to sheet, tube to sheet, tube to tube).
+ Ability to effectively apply lean initiatives.
