**Job Title: TIG Welder** **Job Description** Seeking a skilled welder to perform repair work and new fabrication on silencers and D super heaters. The role involves welding fittings and housings that connect 12-20" pipes, with fittings and housings approximately 2-3" OD. The pipe is beveled. The welder will perform open root TIG, MIG, and flux core welding. Most of the work will be pipe welding with occasional structural repair tasks. Materials include carbon steel, 304 stainless steel, and P11, P22, and P91 chrome. Preheating using a flame or thermal heating pads is required for the P11, P22, and P91 materials. **Responsibilities** + Perform repair work and new fabrication on silencers and D super heaters. + Weld fittings and housings that connect 12-20" pipes, with fittings and housings approximately 2-3" OD. + Execute open root TIG, MIG, and flux core welding. + Primarily conduct pipe welding with occasional structural repair tasks. + Work with materials such as carbon steel, 304 stainless steel, and P11, P22, and P91 chrome. + Preheat P11, P22, and P91 materials using a flame or thermal heating pads as required. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of experience in TIG welding. + Experience with MIG and flux core welding. + Proficiency in pipe welding. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with stainless steel and carbon steel welding. + Ability to perform structural repair work. **Why Work Here?** This position offers the opportunity to work on a new product line that has recently moved to the Houston shop, providing growth and expansion opportunities. This is a contract position expected to last through the end of the year and into mid-January, with the possibility of extension depending on workload. Initially, the guarantee is for 4-5 months of work. The position requires working a night shift from 6 pm to 6 am, Monday through Saturday, with some Sundays as needed.
