TIG Welder
**Job Description** We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Welding Supervisor and Plant Manager, working closely with them to fulfill job duties and responsibilities. This role involves working with a team of 10 welders in the final assembly department, fabricating pieces together from machined or cut-to-size parts. The majority of the welding will be horizontal TIG welding, with occasional MIG welding. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for using hand tools to finish rough edges on newly stamped or formed stainless steel or aluminum pieces. This includes using tools such as angle grinders, sanders, tube benders, drill presses, and saws. The ability to read and interpret blueprints is essential, as each print is client-specific for short-run production or single jobs. **Responsibilities** + Perform TIG welding, primarily horizontal welds, with some welding in multiple positions. + Engage in 95% TIG welding and 5% MIG welding tasks. + Use hand tools, including angle grinders and sanders, to finish rough edges on stainless steel or aluminum. + Operate additional equipment such as tube benders, drill presses, and saws to create necessary parts. + Read and interpret blueprints specific to each job for short-run production or single jobs. + Oversee and support all TIG welding and final assembly processes. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Fabrication and assembly experience. + Experience with machine shop tools (lathe, Bridgeport, saw, grinders, etc.). + Pipefitting skills. + MIG welding experience. + Ability to weld stainless steel from 20 GA up to 11 GA, occasionally 7 GA, with 14 GA sheet being the most common material. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
