We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform TIG welding to repair and salvage a variety of castings with varied defects, ensuring high levels of quality and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and adherence to operational standards.

ResponsibilitiesPerform work in a safe manner by following all safety rules and providing recommendations to help create a safe work environment.Achieve team production and efficiency goals by meeting all operational and quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction.Perform TIG welding to repair and salvage a wide variety of simple to moderately difficult castings with varied defects, except D357 alloys.Pass weld test plates certification test to be certified to work on aerospace castings.Work with the majority of alloys produced by the plant and meet x-ray and zyglo standards.Determine the type and size of welding rod, tungsten electrodes, and other variables.Perform necessary routing and cleaning of defective areas prior to welding.Grind and blend after welding to meet blueprint specifications.Exercise care in welding to obtain proper penetration and avoid defects.Essential SkillsAbility to pass weld test plates certification test.Knowledge and ability to work with various alloys produced by the plant.Skill in determining the type and size of welding rod, tungsten electrodes, and other variables.Ability to perform necessary routing and cleaning of defective areas prior to welding.Proficiency in grinding and blending after welding to meet blueprint specifications.Understanding of basic math calculations.Ability to use precision measuring instruments and test equipment.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent is preferred but can be substituted by manufacturing experience.One to three years of manufacturing experience preferred.Previous experience in the casting industry is a plus.Ability to lift up to 35 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.Why Work Here?
