**Job Title: TIG Welder** **Job Description** This position is for a specialty TIG welder in a job shop fabrication facility. Candidates will be responsible for gathering their materials, steel, blueprints, work orders, and performing strong welds with good visual quality to ensure they meet customer specifications. **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret blueprints or job orders to determine specifications of the job + Weld in all welding positions on various materials including stainless steel, aluminum and monel + Tack or set up welds using a TIG Welders + Use grinders, saws, polishers, hand tools, power tools, or any necessary equipment to prepare the job + Maintain and keep a clean work environment **Essential Skills** + At least 5 years’ experience as a TIG welder with the ability to fabricate in a job shop environment + Experience with stainless steel, aluminum, and monel material ranging from 1/16” up to ½” + Ability to read blueprints + Proficiency in using grinders, saws, polishers, hand tools, and power tools **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED preferred + Experience in some brazing as needed + Experience with MIG welding, carbon steel, and steel fabrication **Work Environment** The facility is medium-sized with metal fabrication happening throughout. We recently invested in a state-of-the-art air quality cleaner and plan to professionally clean our facility over the next couple of months. The main building houses raw materials, saw operations, multiple robotic welders, MIG welding booths, press brakes, laser cutting, manifold assembly for soldering and brazing, cleaning tanks, a specialty testing area for hoses, and an upstairs inventory. The second building across the street contains automation and panel building, a flexible lead area, braiding machines, assembly benches, and a small classroom for customer training. The work schedule is 1st shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
