**Job Title: Tig Welder** **Job Description** We are a veteran-owned custom fabrication facility that specializes in non-ferrous fabrication for the defense, aerospace, pharmaceutical, and automotive industries. We are seeking experienced Tig Welders to join our dynamic team. The role primarily involves Tig welding on sheet metal, stainless steel, and steel, along with fabrication and fitting tasks. This is a non-production, prototype welding position suitable for welders with extensive experience. **Responsibilities** + Perform Tig welding on sheet metal, stainless steel, and steel. + Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols. + Set up and operate welding machines. + Understand and utilize various gases used in welding. + Conduct fabrication and fitting on fixtures and forming projects. + Work on projects of varying sizes, from small to very large pieces. + Perform welding in flat and horizontal positions. + Engage in prototype and job shop welding, avoiding production work. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of Tig welding experience in a prototype environment. + Proficiency in reading blueprints and welding symbols. + 5+ years of fitting experience. + Experience with materials such as sheet metal, stainless steel, and steel. + Ability to set up and run welding machines. + Experience in flat and horizontal welding positions. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with Mig welding. + Previous AWS certification. + Knowledge of different gases used in welding. + Fabrication skills. **Why Work Here?** We promote from within and foster a family-friendly atmosphere with team lunches and cross-training opportunities. The job shop includes specialized areas such as CNC and welder sections. The position is for the first shift, Monday to Thursday from 6 am to 4:30 pm, and Fridays with 8-hour shifts. Saturdays are rarely required. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
