**Job Title: TIG Welder - Day and Night Shift** **Job Description** We are seeking skilled TIG welders to join our sheet metal shop. Our shop specializes in a variety of job shop work, including the fabrication of metal cabinets, carpet cleaning trucks, and water tanks. As a TIG welder, you will play a crucial role in our production process by ensuring high-quality welds on stainless steel components. **Responsibilities** + Perform TIG welding on 18 gauge to 20 gauge stainless steel + Set up and operate welding machines + Read and interpret blueprints and schematics + Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications + Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE (welding hood, gloves, leathers, earplugs, safety glasses, steel-toed boots) **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in TIG welding, especially on 18 gauge to 20 gauge stainless steel + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics + Experience with welding 12 gauge to 24 gauge materials + Capability to pass a TIG welding test (box test) + Skilled in setting up welding machines **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with aluminum welding and fabrication + Previous experience in sheet metal work + Possession of personal welding gear, including a welding hood, shield, and steel-toed shoes **Why Work Here?** Join a local company with a clean and well-maintained shop. We work on a variety of stainless steel projects and offer both day and night shifts. The day shift runs from Monday to Thursday, 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, and the night shift runs from Monday to Thursday, 3:30 pm to 2:00 am. A 10% shift differential is offered for night shift positions. Proper safety attire, including steel-toed boots, is required. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Salt Lake, Utah. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
