This role is responsible for organizing and maintaining incoming and outgoing tile, unloading pallets, and keeping the tile shed tidy and in order. This role also provides service to various departments within the company. At Heath, we take our company values very seriously. The Tile Associate reports directly to the Showroom Manager and Assistant Manager and works closely with the showroom sales team. Position Responsibilities + Maintain organization and cleanliness of the overstock tile shed and tile storage area + Unpack pallets and move large quantities of tile + Accurately receive tile transfers and, if needed, assist the showroom with non-tile transfers + Maintain and organize transfer paperwork + Thoroughly sort, label, and box tile collections + Assist the showroom sales team and customers in the overstock tile shed + Knowledge of POS systems and a high level of comfort with technology (including the ability to use iPad/laptop, Mobile POS, and Internet) + Ability to identify customer needs and problem solve, to understand and explain product features and benefits + Help keep an accurate inventory of all tile and trim + Help to load tile purchases into customers' cars Who You are + Enthusiastic with excellent communication skills + Strong follow-through + Outstanding organization skills and attention to detail + Customer-focused; retail experience a plus  + Excellent attendance Physical Requirements + The ability to transport pallets of tile (up to 30 lbs. at a time). Total weight lifted per day can be 3500 to 5000 lbs. + Other activities, including climbing, balancing, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, repetitive motion, and grasping  Work Environment/ Hours / Compensation This is a part-time, onsite position based in our Sausalito location. The overstock tile shed is located outdoors, meaning that the Tile Associate will be working in an open-air setting exposed to low or high temperatures and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind. The hours offered for this position are an average of 10-18 hours per week. Includes weekends and some holidays. The hourly rate for this position is $25.00.
