JOB SUMMARY
*Hybrid role - 3 days a week in our Pittsburgh office
The Consultant supports the Director and Program Manager in designing, developing, implementing, communicating and consulting on the various Time Off Disability, Leave and Accommodation programs for the company's business units. This position will utilize technical, analytical and business expertise to ensure the programs support the business strategy and aligns with the Organization's Total Rewards guiding principles. This position will evaluate and benchmark programs to determine the company's competitive posture and provide recommendations in planning, design and policy changes. Collaborates with the business partners to ensure an understanding of the programs, compliance requirements and provides training and communication oversight of the processes. Possesses in depth understanding of administration and regulatory requirements unique to Absence Management.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and foster internal relationships across the enterprise. Provides analytic and consultative support to a broad spectrum of internal customer areas and external business partners. Functions as the subject matter expert in interpreting, communicating and consulting on the administration of the Time Off Disability, Leave and Accommodation programs. Addresses escalations form HR Shared Services and other business units .Evaluate and benchmark programs to determine competitive posture. Develop strategies to extract data from HR systems. Provides initial reviews and analysis of relevant data to determine utilization and overall impact. Collaborates with program manager to track and understand regulations and ensure plan compliance. Complete projects of varying size and complexity as assigned. Plan activities and establishes objectives within the allotted timeframes. Researches and analyzes information and provides suggestions for best course of action. Support the implementation of the Time Off, Disability, Leave Management and Accommodation program strategies. Supports the partnership with 3rd party administrator/insurer, employee health and accommodation providers. Partners with the 3rd party administrator/insurer for reporting requirements and program evaluation. Participates in the process of due diligence and plan integration with mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions.Manage customer expectations and provides feedback to leadership to improve service delivery. Supports the Program Manager to ensure program design, policies and practices comply with HIPAA, ADA, FMLA and all other federal, state and local law/regulations. Monitors the legislative framework and provides recommendations to policies due to changing legal landscape. Implement quality control measures to ensure adherence to regulations.
