As a Solutions Engineer at NetApp, you’ll play a pivotal role in influencing enterprise-level deals and helping customers achieve their business goals by leveraging NetApp’s portfolio of hybrid cloud and on-premises storage solutions. This patch features a mix of industries, with a notable focus on cloud solutions. However, many accounts still rely heavily on on-premises infrastructure powered by NetApp ONTAP. You’ll work closely with two high-performing Enterprise Account Executives in one of the company’s most successful territories. These accounts represent some of the largest enterprise customers, where your expertise in storage solutions, hybrid cloud, and ONTAP will be key to driving success.

 

Key Responsibilities Solution Design: Partner with sales teams to capture customer requirements and design tailored solutions that combine NetApp’s on-premises and cloud technologies, showcasing the value of hybrid cloud. Customer Engagement: Lead technical discussions, demonstrations, and proofs of concept (POCs) to help customers experience the simplicity and power of NetApp’s solutions. Cloud and ONTAP Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of NetApp ONTAP, Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO), and other hybrid cloud offerings to address customer challenges and deliver impactful outcomes. Influencing Deals: Collaborate with Enterprise Account Executives to drive deal strategy and technical alignment, positioning NetApp as the partner of choice for enterprise storage and cloud solutions. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with services and support teams to ensure smooth implementation and long-term customer satisfaction. Continuous Learning: Stay up to date on complementary and competitive technologies, with a focus on emerging trends in hybrid cloud and enterprise storage. Financial Expertise: Create and deliver ROI models to help customers understand the business value of NetApp’s solutions. Territory Coverage: Travel regularly within the Bay Area to meet with customers, develop relationships, and drive sales opportunities. Job Requirements 5+ years of experience in technical sales engineering. 5+ years of experience in a sales engineering position within a technology environment. Proven ability to meet or exceed sales quotas and contribute to overall team success. Deep expertise in enterprise storage solutions, with a strong preference for candidates with hands-on knowledge of NetApp ONTAP and hybrid cloud technologies. Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments, including on-premises infrastructure, cloud platforms, and hybrid architectures. A growth mindset with a proactive, self-directed approach to navigating complex sales campaigns and cultivating relationships. Exceptional problem-solving skills and a customer-first mentality. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences. Familiarity with financial modeling and ROI analysis is a plus.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 193,885 - 250,910 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings’ (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s).
