Manager, Strategy
Position Summary:
The Manager, Strategy is responsible for leading the JetForward Acceleration Team (JAT) to support the strategy team and senior leadership in the development, implementation, and tracking of the JetForward plan. In this multi-functional role, the Manager will oversee workstream execution, ensuring strong governance, use of the KEY system, and timely delivery of initiatives. The Manager may also support cross-functional industry and company analysis that provides financial and competitive ‘situational awareness’ as well as ad-hoc strategic and business development projects as required. This role involves cross-functional collaboration, supporting senior management, and preparing board-level materials, including reporting on the progress of JetBlue’s transformation strategy.
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead the JAT (JetForward Acceleration Team) relationships within identified workstreams, ensuring strong governance and effective use of KEY to track and deliver these workstreams. Oversee the execution of strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with the broader JetForward plan. Provide leadership and direction to the JAT team, including mentoring analysts and ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities. Support and train users on KEY, ensuring effective adoption and usage of the system to manage workstreams. Identify risks within the workstreams and provide mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery. Drive continuous improvement within the team, focusing on efficiency and effectiveness in project execution. Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to develop both strategic and tactical initiatives that drive JetBlue’s transformation efforts. Leads/supports (as required) complex company and industry analytical reports, including cost and revenue benchmarking and assessing competitive trends using public data sources. Partners with teams in commercial and finance on competitive analysis and analyzing and tracking critical industry trends. Prepare and deliver materials for senior leadership and board-level reporting on the progress of JetBlue’s transformation and strategy execution, plus regular board meeting materials and the annual strategic offsite materials. Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement. Other duties as assigned.Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience. Five (5) years of airline experience or experience with program/project management in commercial or operational aspects of the airline business. Candidates must demonstrate Problem-Solving, Analysis, and Communication & Presentation in a work sample assessment. Increasing well rounded understanding of company/industry workings (eg. Commercial, financial markets, operational, labor dynamics). Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools. Effective written, verbal, and listening communication skills, including strong presentation skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to ask inquisitive questions and solve complex problems. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and interact with all levels of JetBlue. Self-motivated with a positive self-image and the ability to work independently. A team player who enjoys collaboration and fostering teamwork. Available for overnight travel (10%). Must pass a pre-employment drug test. Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located. Authorization to work in the US is required. Knowledge of airline industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitive trends. Experience in multiple and varied roles within the airline industry. Familiarity with change management principles and practices to ensure smooth project execution and adoption. Experience with industry data (e.g. DOT data, Skailark, Diio) as well as experience in commercial and/or financial aspects of the airline industry (e.g. revenue management, network, partnerships, financial planning & analysis (FP&A) and/or marketing).Crewmember Expectations:

The base pay range for this position is between $81,000.00 and $136,200.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.#LI-Hybrid
