Main purpose of the role

This role is for a Sales Development Manager within the automotive OEM parts sector for one of our main global prestige automotive clients. The field-based Sales Development Manager will be responsible for driving sales into existing and prospective high potential parts customers on behalf of an OEMs Trade Parts Dealers. You will also focus on enhancing our current client partnership and increasing overall incremental sales revenue and profitability. 

 

Candidate Responsibilities

To grow and support the trade parts sales through OEM Trade Parts Dealers. Operational implementation of sales initiatives and actions to achieve the targeted sales. Identify and convert new high sales potential Key Accounts with the OEM Trade Parts Dealers. Increase OEM parts market share in competitive parts area. Use analysis of spend patterns to prioritize activities to customers with the greatest growth potential. Feedback competitor market intelligence to the Regional Account Manager. Monitor the turnover and other KPIs of each OEM Trade Parts Dealers to ensure achievement of targets and action plans. Repeat visits to existing and new high potential Key Accounts to reinforce the OEM parts growth. Create long term business relationships with the Key Accounts stakeholders. Act as brand ambassador for OEM brand in the field. Prepare joint action plans with the OEM parts Trade Parts Dealers to present customer feedback and to define countermeasures.

 

Candidate Specification (essential)

3 years’ plus, Sales Development Manager experience within large automotive parts wholesaler, or OEM network with unrivalled overall IAM knowledge. Ability to increase OEM market share against OES competition. Sound understanding and demonstrable record of dealing with all types of independent repairers. Creative approach to discovering and onboarding new customers. Excellent knowledge of automotive parts sector (OEM / OES). Proven track record in sales and target achievement. Ability to broker deals at senior stakeholder level. Strong communicator – verbal and written. Proven track record of working in a fast moving, client focused environment. Well organized - understands how to manage multiple high priority projects. Proficient in MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Ability to travel within designated territory.

 

Competencies and Skills required

Strong interpersonal skills and effective communicator. Experience having worked with a high-performance, collaborative, constructive peer group is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details. Can demonstrate a high degree of being able to work on own initiative and motivation. Strong organizational and time management skills

Regional Account Manager

 

Working hours

Full time (40 hrs. per week) and prepared to work overtime when needed
