Title: Sales Regional Director (NORDICS)
Job Summary

As a Nordics Regional Director you will utilize strong leadership and sales competencies to set objectives and develop strategies for subordinate level managers.

You develop long-term strategies and shorter-term plans to meet aggressive revenue goals and support the following corporate focus areas: Modernize customers where they are Expand wallet with new workloads Win new accounts in enterprise and commercial segments Win new market motions You must be extremely results driven, customer focused, technologically savvy, and skilled at building internal relationships and external partnerships. Embodying the strong NetApp culture and standards.

Setting a vision and directive that is rooted in account- / territory planning, partner alignment, relationship management and market- / wallet expansion.

Business planning with a “finger on the pulse” of market trends and competitive landscape awareness.

Weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasting.

Essential Functions: Deep expertise working closely and strategically with customers and partners while creating a culture of success and working on world-class solutions. Innovation and creativity to change the rules of the game, drive innovation, and create a paradigm shift in driving the “NetApp agenda”. Provide management oversight to sales-, solutions engineering-, partner managers within the region to drive all pertinent issues related to sales strategy and goal attainment. Participate in strategic planning sessions with the management team on a quarterly and annual basis (centered around the corporate focus areas). Communicate corporate strategy to employees within your region. Drive global and regional best practices. Establish short-term and long-term goals and quotas in line with corporate objectives. Identify and qualify important sales opportunities at the management level. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure departmental goals are met. Act as coach, mentor and inspirator to employees within your region. Keep senior management informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected business results. Requirements 15+ years of international field leadership experience. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including formal presentation skills (English). Ability to connect the dots between technology and the role technology plays in delivering business outcomes. Experience in developing programs and processes to drive revenue and/or customer loyalty. Solid understanding of the sales processes and analytical skills. Experience with developing budgets and predicting project costs. Demonstrated ability to directly manage employees across multiple countries. Strong ability to influence cross-functional employees, and partner with international peers. Responsibility and Interaction

Management:

This position is responsible for directing and controlling activities at senior level within the Nordics region which include Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland and the Baltics. The focus of this role is on translating functional strategies into operational plans and priorities. The potential impact of decisions made by this individual has significant operational or financial impact on the performance standards of the function and may impact the company’s success. This individual will use in-depth knowledge to solve abstract issues and assess intangible variables; and establish long-range plans. This individual is accountable for managing the budget.

Interaction:

This individual must demonstrate strong leadership skills by establishing clear goals, objectives and priorities that communicate the organization’s vision. Works with senior management and vice president level employees addressing issues across companies and functions. The position reports to a vice president – Western Europe area. Education

Seasoned international sales leader based in Sweden

Proven ability to manage high performing cross-country sales teams.

A minimum of 15 years of NetApp experience is required, of which 10 years as a people manager.

A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or Economics; or equivalent experience is required. A Master of Science Degree in Engineering; or an MBA is preferred.
