Position Summary
The Scheduler, Training Scheduling is responsible for all aspects of training scheduling requirements for all of the training departments at JetBlue University (JBU), including regulatory compliance and coordination with Training Records Specialists and Crew Services. This position requires in-depth knowledge of processes and procedures along with the ability to multitask. The Scheduler will need to be able to engage with JBU College Leaders, Instructors, and students on a regular basis to provide the best training experience.
Essential Responsibilities
Coordinates with Crew Services and Crew Staffing for monthly bid awards
Checks for legalities and adjusts as appropriate
Notifies all trainees of required Standards Training Events
Coordinates with Training Record Specialists to ensure all recurrent and qualification training is scheduled
Schedules Instructors, according to qualifications for all training devices, including full and fixed flight simulators, door operations, ground schools and classroom training as well as emergency drill events
Monitors changes in the training schedules
Rotating shifts at the Just Ask desk in center
All other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
Two (2) years of Scheduling and/or Training Administration
Experience on computerized scheduling processes
Ability to complete tasks and assignments with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Available for overnight travel (10%)
Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and be available to respond on short notice
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Regulatory or airline experience with an understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) legalities
Experience utilizing commercial electronic scheduling software, especially MINT Training Management System, or similar, FLICA and CrewTrac
Crewmember Expectations
Regular attendance and punctuality
Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice
Able to maintain a professional appearance
When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
