Description of Work Unit
The Office of Title IX Programs and Gender Equity is committed to Colorado State University’s values and Principles of Community by promoting the health and safety of the University community and fostering the health, well-being, and successful experience of community members. Our purpose is to support university community members during the conduct of complaint investigations and conduct impartial, objective, and equitable investigations of complaints of sexual assault, sexual misconduct, and interpersonal violence. The Office is also responsible for training university community members on Title IX and responsible employee reporting obligations, how to prevent, identify, and report sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, gender discrimination, and gender-based violence. The office also connects those affected by sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, gender discrimination, and gender-based violence with university and community resources and support.

Position Summary
This position provides administrative and technical support for the interpersonal violence & response programs in the Office of Title IX Programs and Gender Equity, and the Office of Equal Opportunity ( OEO ) working closely with the front-end staff and case manager(s) to ensure timely response and monitoring of reports of sex discrimination, sex-based harassment, sexual violence, sexual assault, relationship violence, stalking, discrimination, and retaliation.
This role will primarily provide daily customer service support by answering phone calls, managing the main inbox, recording messages with the use of tracker logs, updating case files, managing case files, and providing technical support as needed for live Title IX hearings. The position will also provide case management and outreach/scheduling assistance to the Executive Director and Deputy Director(s).
This position will enhance constituent experience, interactions, and efficiency in compliance with university policies, as well as federal, state, and local laws. This position is vital to providing exemplary customer service to constituents contacting or visiting the office, submitting reports and/or complaints, scheduling and maintaining calendars for the Title IX and Civil Rights Coordinator, Deputy Title IX/Civil Rights Coordinator, and Civil Rights Investigators with consideration for priority of appointments and needs of the office. This position will assist the Executive Director and front-end staff with outreach and scheduling, case documentation, and note-taking support for informational sessions.
This position will be required to follow established work procedures and operate within formulated guidelines, and deviation from such requires approval of the Title IX Coordinator who is Work Lead and has oversight responsibilities for the Interpersonal Violence & Response Programs area.
Required Job Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ At least two (2) years of relevant experience working in civil rights, discrimination, and/or sexual misconduct
+ Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
+ Previous customer service experience with scheduling and administrative support
+ In-person presence to provide assistance as needed in informational sessions, and internal/external meetings
Preferred Job Qualifications
+ Prior experience working in a higher education setting.
+ Ability to take transcription style notes in real time.
