Hourly base pay rate is $15.87 - $23.75/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Job Description

Autotrader Private Seller Exchange (Cox Automotive) is actively disrupting the peer-to-peer (P2P) car sales market by providing our unique method to the private car sales approach that saves buyers and sellers time and money. Our mission to provide the best online car sales experience is excelling and we’re looking for new team members to help our mission!  

We are seeking an energized and motivated individual to join our team. You will work alongside like-minded goal-oriented individuals and teams to drive our mission. This is a consumer- facing operational role in the Phoenix office 

Position Overview: As a Title Specialist in the Direct Offer department, you will play a crucial role in managing and processing vehicle related documentation for the wholesale department. Your primary responsibilities will include sending out seller paperwork, receiving and sorting mail, and contacting sellers and financial institutions to obtain title status. You will support various vehicle operations functions while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements and meeting business and customer expectations.

Responsibilities: 

Document Management: Verify and file vehicle titles, registrations, and related documents following company and regulatory standards. 

Office Support: Provide administrative assistance by answering phones, recording and forwarding messages, responding to emails and intercom inquiries, and entering data into the system. 

Mail Handling: Manage office mail and documentation as needed. 

Document Processing: Assist with scanning documents and examining titles and registrations for accuracy and completeness. 

Verification: Verify information such as vehicle registration, titles, VINs, lienholder details, and mileage to ensure correctness. 

Customer Service: Address inquiries and concerns from customers, banks, and other stakeholders with professionalism and efficiency. 

Compliance: Learn and adhere to all company policies and regulatory requirements. 

Special Projects: Support special projects and other tasks as assigned by management. 

  

Qualifications: 

Minimum

High School Diploma/GED.

Generally, less than 2 years of experience

Be familiar with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Effective communication skills and a strong customer service attitude are required.

Preferred

Prior experience with vehicle titling is preferred but not required. 

Notary license is preferred but not required. 

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 

Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and exceptional customer service abilities. 

Capability to work both independently and as part of a team. 

Proficiency in using various computer functions and office equipment. 

Professional demeanor and the ability to handle various situations with a pleasant attitude. 

Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and teams. 

 

Compensation:  

The hourly rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.  

   

Benefits:  

Employees receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year.  Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave. 

Drug Testing

To be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position. However, we are a drug-free workplace, so the possession, use or being under the influence of drugs illegal under federal or state law during work hours, on company property and/or in company vehicles is prohibited.
