The training programme consists of a 3-months structured facilitated training conducted by Temasek Polytechnic, followed by 15 months of local attachment with GSK. Purpose: To provide technical support in QC Biological Team Key Responsibilities: Assists the Superintendent/ Manager in managing the biological laboratory activities to assure timely availability and accuracy of results Reviews and approves all required biochemistry/ microbiological testing for utilities, raw materials, environmental, manufacturing processes and products; ensures that the tests are analyzed in accordance with corporate, regulatory and external agency regulations. Ensures that all in-use procedure/ policies/ practices are current and compliant. Maintains all safety and security policies and practices. Supports equipment/software/method validation and performs (re)validation when necessary. Monitor results and issues corrective actions when a ro riate Provides support and technical expertise to ensure that manufactured products meet applicable regulatory standards and guidelines with respect to Quality control operations Prepares and updates LSOP/ protocols. Participates in investigation of non-conformities (deviations and exceptions) and close the report on time. Performs data trending and co-ordinates with relevant parties. Reviews QC reports to ensure compliance and promptness of results. Problem solving Identifies and reports problems in QC. Solve problems and implement corrective actions. Presents in a timely manner major issues to the management with strate ies on their resolution. Organization and Management Responsbilities Assists the Superintendent/ Manager in managing the Biological team: Ensures appropriate training and development of the biological team. Provides leadership, guidance and technical expertise to the team. Creates strong team morale and a culture of accountability and ownership. Ensures continuous improvements of the QC operations Skills: Professional Science Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or equivalent with more than 2 years of working experience or Diploma holders with more than 5 years of working experience Technical Competent technical skills in the following: Hands-on experience in biological testing (advantage) Laboratory equipment qualification o Method validation Computer system validation Aseptic techniques Knowledge of cGLP and cGMP Preferably with knowledge of statistics Business Effective report writing skills Planning and Organizing skills Effective team player Analytical skills with logical thinking Good interpersonal skills Leadership skills (advantage) Competencies: Good command of English Good knowledge on usage of computers Where will I be based?
