Toll Systems Back Office Software Engineer

Work you'll do Provide subject matter expertise in tolling commercial Back Office systems software development, test, and delivery. The successful candidate will join and augment the existing project team, in the areas described below. + Integration Testing (SIT) providing services for: + Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) to analyze the progress and quality of the project's Back Office system and development effort + Support the test schedule and sprint milestones and perform testing using approved test cases to ensure the acceptability of work products. + Validate that the system correctly implements the necessary functionality, reporting any defects or issues discovered during testing. + Ensure that the system under development aligns with the system detailed design documents and other relevant contractual requirements. + In support of system acceptance, provide recommendations and execution of additional testing, beyond the approved test cases, in order to do extensive and exhaustive testing of the system capabilities, that would be expected of a toll BOS, based on the successful candidate experience and subject matter expertise. + The successful candidate will report to the project manager and serve the project team as: + A Subject Matter Expert(s) and based on the test results, they will offer advice, strategize, and collaborate on the system's compliance with the requirements and make recommendations for addressing defects and issues, and possible improvements. + Build support, communicating progress and milestones, and addressing concerns, challenges, and obstacles. + Identify and report program risks to the Project Manager, stakeholders, and project team as appropriate. Qualifications Required: + Bachelor's Degree is required + Expert technical knowledge and experience with systems design, implementation, testing, delivery, operations, and/or maintenance projects in the tolling industry. Experience should include: + Experience testing or implementing 2- 3 Tolling Commercial Back Office (CBO) Systems + Customer account management + Transaction processing + Billing and payment processing + Financial accounting, settlement and reconciliation + Reporting, dashboards, and analytics + Integration with roadside systems, DMV, collections, mail house, payment gateway, interoperable agencies + Data platforms/database test and deployment, data exchanges (flat file and API solutions), data governance (use, retention, recovery), and data security + Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex information in clear, understandable terms + Effective communication skills within a diverse team environment + Flexibility to work with project teams operating in time zones across the US and Europe as required + Ability to travel to various locations in the continental US The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,875 to $163,125.
