**Tool and Die Machinist Trainee** **Paying $33.19 / HR - $38.72 / HR** **Location - SE Portland, Oregon** **Responsibilities:** + Maintain, sharpen, and repair progressive stamping tooling, recondition tooling components, and perform precision surface grinding, polishing, and lapping of die components as well as fit and assembly of dies. + Troubleshoot press and header/die tooling problems and assist on press set-up functions Precision measure die components to ensure quality and performance (+/-.0002). **Qualifications:** + Tool & Die experience is not required but need to have experience with manual machining, use of precision measuring tools, and blueprint reading experience is required. **Environment/ Shift:** + They will be working in a large manufacturing environment with and around numerous different types of metals manufacturing machines.
