Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Technician responsible for working with Transfer and Progressive Dies. This role involves setting up dies in the press, troubleshooting dies both inside and outside the press, and performing industrial maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting on machines. Additionally, tasks include general maintenance, machining parts using manual mills and lathes, tool cutting, welding (MIG, ARC, Stick & Tig), fabrication, blueprint reading, and using overhead cranes and forklifts.
ResponsibilitiesSet up dies in the press.Troubleshoot dies inside and outside of the press.Perform industrial maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting on machines.Conduct overall general maintenance.Machine parts using manual mills and lathes.Perform tool cutting and welding (MIG, ARC, Stick & Tig).Fabricate parts as needed.Essential SkillsJourneyman card or at least 8 years of tool and die experience.Ability to operate manual machines to machine parts, including manual mills and lathes.Experience with tool and die, blueprint reading, machining, repair, troubleshooting, die repair, stamping, grinding, die setting, die troubleshooting, hydraulics, micrometers, die maintenance, manual machining, toolroom operations, surface grinding, and die making.Must have own tools.Reliable attendance.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a union facility under UAW Local 12, manufacturing high-volume transmission heads for major automotive companies. The position is on the 2nd shift from 3 pm to 11 pm, Monday to Friday, for 40 hours a week. After 45 days, you will be hired into the union and receive all associated benefits.
