Job Title: Tool & Die Maker

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Tool & Die Makers to join our team. We offer three levels for this position, each with varying responsibilities and requirements. Level A is the highest, requiring at least 7 years of experience, Level B requires 4+ years, and Level C requires 2+ years of experience.

ResponsibilitiesLevel A: Plan, design, construct, or repair a wide variety of highly intricate and complicated tools, dies, jigs, gauges, and fixtures to extremely close tolerances.Level A: Perform difficult development work and construct tools where no design is available.Level A: Select allowances and device mechanism details.Level A: Perform highly skilled fitting, adjusting, and timing of tools and machinery.Level A: Perform work involving multi-station progressive dies, intricate compound dies of irregular shape, subpress dies for parts of delicate outline, and complex index milling fixtures.Level A: Perform any tool room machine operation, including CAD/KEY, CNC lathe, and other technologies required for toolroom operations.Level A: Work from complicated drawings and sketches.Level A: Use advanced shop mathematics and all types of precision measuring instruments.Level A: Apply a high degree of experience, trade skill, and thorough knowledge of machine shop practice.Level A: Other duties as assigned.Level B: Plan, design, construct, and repair a wide variety of intricate and complicated tools, dies, jigs, gauges, and fixtures to close tolerances.Level B: Perform difficult development work.Level B: Construct complex units where designs are available.Level B: Select allowances and devise mechanism detail, along with skilled fitting, timing, and adjusting.Level B: Perform difficult tool room machine operation, including CAD/KEY, CNC lathe, and other technologies (as these technologies exist or arise) required to perform tool room operations.Level B: Work from complicated drawing and sketches.Level B: Use advanced shop mathematics and all types of precision measuring instruments.Level B: Other duties as assigned.Level C: Plan, design, construct, and repair a wide variety of intricate and complicated tools, dies, jigs, gauges, and fixtures to close tolerances.Level C: Construct complex units where designs are available.Level C: Select allowances and devise mechanism detail, along with skilled fitting, timing, and adjusting.Level C: Perform difficult tool room machine operation, including CAD/KEY, CNC lathe, and other technologies (as these technologies exist or arise) required to perform tool room operations.Level C: Work from complicated drawing and sketches.Level C: Use advanced shop mathematics and all types of precision measuring instruments.Level C: Other duties as assigned.Essential Skills2+ years of experience as a tool and die maker.Experience with semi-permanent dies, layout work, and knowledge of short run stamping through progressive dies.Possess or be willing to purchase the required inspection and hand tools upon acceptance of the job offer.Ability to lift 50lbs.Additional Skills & QualificationsTool and die making experience in a metal stamping environment is ideal.Experience with blueprint reading, tooling, lathe operations, die repair, manual machining, grinding, surface grinding, manual lathe, progressive die, and GibbsCAM.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70720.00 - $87360.00
