**Aerotek is hiring Tool and Die Technician!** **Permanent Position** **Shift: 1st shift 7am to 3pm** **Pay: $37,440 to $52,395** **Responsibilities** + Perform nitriding, polishing, and maintenance of extrusion dies. + Conduct quality checks of extrusions during production runs. + Provide accurate quality and performance information for dies to the die shop manager. + Correct dies at the press and in the die shop. + Operate hand tools and various machines. + Adjust new dies before production. + Perform test extrusions of new or corrected dies. + Provide technical die service and support for auxiliary tools such as bolsters and backers. + Perform precise measurements and adjustments to ensure correct dimensions and alignment of dies. + Read blueprints and understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. + Assist in preventive maintenance tasks. + Read die drawings and inspect parts and surface finishes according to customer specifications. + Utilize proper inspection tools and techniques. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in tool and die repair. + Blueprint reading and interpretation. + Machining skills including milling, grinding, and lathe operations. + Knowledge of preventive maintenance. + Experience in die correction and die shop operations. + Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. + Ability to perform accurate measurements using micrometers and other tools. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Preferred schooling in a related field. + Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. + Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. + Self-motivated and detail-oriented. + Basic math and measuring skills. + Experience with extrusion, anodizing, and automated paint lines is a plus. **EVP** Our company offers a comprehensive benefits package starting after 60 days, including 401k matching, health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a referral program, and tuition reimbursement. The work environment is a metal manufacturing plant, so it can be dirty (with metal shavings and grease in some work cells) and loud (hearing protection is required and provided). High-speed manufacturing processes require employees to be constantly attentive to safety protocols. The facility houses extrusion equipment that can make the area hotter than normal, and the maintenance roles involve working near or on this equipment as needed.
